Liability Waiver and Participant Agreement

By registering for and participating in “from uncertain to unshakeable: A Weekend Hands On Assist Training for Yoga Teachers” you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Voluntary participation

I understand that this training includes physical movement, hands on assists, demonstrations, partner work, and somatic practices. I am choosing to participate voluntarily and take full responsibility for my physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing throughout the training.

2. Personal responsibility

I understand that it is my responsibility to listen to my body, modify as needed, decline any assist or exercise that feels unsafe, and communicate clearly with my partners and instructors. I agree to honor my boundaries and conduct myself with professionalism and respect toward others.

3. Not a substitute for medical care

I acknowledge that the facilitators are not medical professionals and that this training does not diagnose, treat, or replace medical, psychological, or therapeutic care. I confirm that I am physically and mentally capable of participating or that I have obtained clearance from my healthcare provider.

4. Assumption of risk

I understand that yoga, hands on assists, movement practices, and partner exercises carry inherent risks including but not limited to muscle strain, joint discomfort, accidental contact, or falls. I knowingly assume all risks associated with my participation.

5. Release of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release the facilitators, the hosting studio, its owners, employees, contractors, and representatives from any and all liability for injuries, damages, losses, or claims arising from my participation in the training, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

6. Consent for hands on assists

I understand that receiving and practicing hands on assists is a central component of this training. I consent to giving and receiving assists within my comfort level and understand that I can withdraw consent at any time.

7. Professional conduct, boundaries, and misconduct

I agree to uphold ethical boundaries when practicing assists, to follow all guidelines provided, and to help maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone. I understand that any misconduct, including but not limited to inappropriate behavior, boundary violations, harassment, or actions that compromise the safety or comfort of others, may result in immediate removal from the training at the sole discretion of the facilitator. If I am dismissed for misconduct I understand that I am not entitled to any refund, credit, or transfer.

8. Media acknowledgment

I understand that photos or videos may be taken during the training for educational or promotional purposes. If I prefer not to appear in any media I will notify the facilitators in writing before the training begins.

9. No guarantee of certification or outcome

I understand that participation does not automatically guarantee certification, competency, or qualification to teach hands on assists. Completion is based on active participation and demonstration of understanding.

10. Cancellation and refund policy

All sales are final and no refunds are offered for this training. If I cannot attend the training for any reason I may transfer my enrollment to the next available training date. If the future training is offered at a higher price I agree to pay the difference.

I may also send another person in my place or gift my spot to a teacher in need. If I choose to gift my spot I will receive 50% off a future Mishiah Yoga training or retreat. This offer exists as a community oriented pay it forward gesture rather than a financial incentive.

11. Act of God and unforeseen events

If the training is postponed, disrupted, or relocated due to circumstances outside the control of the facilitator including but not limited to severe weather, natural disaster, public safety concerns, illness, or unexpected facility issues, the training will be rescheduled. All registrations will be transferred to the rescheduled date and no refunds will be issued.

By attending this training I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the full terms above. I participate at my own risk and accept full responsibility for my experience.
